Jess Gutsue, MA, RDN

Manager, Consumer Communications

"Little by little, a little becomes a lot."

What is your educational background? I received a B.S. from Michigan State University in Dietetics. Then I completed my dietetic internship at Western Michigan University. Later, I graduated with an M.A in Dietetics from WMU.

What is your favorite part of your job? I knew from a young age I wanted to study nutrition, but I never knew what that meant as a job. Working at Kellogg is super cool because you can learn about so many different aspects of the company, in addition to food & nutrition.

What other nutrition-related jobs have you held? I have been a clinical dietitian, at a long term care facility and an outpatient dialysis clinic.

What do you consider an ideal breakfast? One of my favorite parts of the weekend is breakfast time, I really enjoy getting up and around at my leisure. Generally I sip coffee and hang out with my family while my husband makes breakfast.

What is your favorite Kellogg food? It's a toss up... Cracklin' Oat Bran right out of the box, or Raisin Bran with milk.

What is your favorite Kellogg Recipe? Rice Krispies Treats, they’re simple, delicious and remind me of my childhood.

What do you like to do when you are not at work? I really enjoy being active in the outdoors, running is a favorite! Other hobbies include gardening, decorating my home, sewing/crafty projects and hanging with family and friends.
