What is your educational background? I have a BS in Nutrition & Food Science and MS in Public Health Nutrition both from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. I completed my dietetic internship also at UTK.
What is your favorite part of your job? Even though I have been a dietitian for over 20 years I am thrilled to come to work every single day. I learn something new all the time and I play a small part in making great foods for a great company.
What other nutrition-related jobs have you held? I started my career in maternal and child health and then transitioned into school nutrition and then eventually to more industry consulting.
What do you consider an ideal breakfast? First and foremost – it is mandatory! I cannot imagine starting my day without a great start featuring nutrient rich foods containing fiber, protein and vitamins & minerals.
What is your favorite Kellogg recipe? Special K® Multi-Grain Crackers with Creamy Beet Dip. My family loves beets and this is a great addition to our "family finger food fun nights."
What do you like to do when you are not at work? Balancing the schedules of 4 very busy children!
